I’m really excited to be back in the saddle of blogging again – being adjusted to life as a working mom really helps!
One of my favorite blogs to follow co-hosts a quarterly top five link-up. I haven’t participated before, and I’m excited to finally be using my camera again to capture the accomplishments Tori makes, so of course there are plenty of fun photos to choose from!
I just love this photo of Tori and her dad. We were at my dad’s last concert outdoors the night we arrived back in VA for an extended trip. I was taking pictures of the band, when I looked down and saw her looking right up at me. It’s just the sweetest shot.
This is one of my absolute favorites of her that I’ve taken so far. It was after a diaper change, and she was just hanging out in the living room, working on her sitting up skills. Another one of those I can’t believe I caught this moment.
After a short shoot with my dad and sister and Tori, I wanted to see what she would do if I laid her in the grass. I want Tori to grow up knowing what grass feels like between her toes, and I thought my parent’s yard would be a great place to start. I’m also entering this into the PaperHeartCamera Summer shot contest.
We had just returned from my dad’s retirement session and my mom wanted some pictures with Tori as well. I read somewhere that the most flattering angle to shoot from is above, so I jumped up on the couch. This of course caught Tori’s attention, and I love the expression on both of their faces.
My final shot is from the father’s day shoot Tori and I did. I wanted a picture of just her with no letters, and she had just about had enough, so I was lucky to get this one.
