First portrait shoot

On Sunday, I sweetly asked S to let me take his picture for the photography class I’m taking (which I’m sad to say ends this week – I’ve really enjoyed it!).  After spending the day before with our friend who did our “we’ve moved” cards and gleaning some tips from her, we set out down the road near the tree I fell in love with.  I was pretty down when we set out, because the little shoot I had done on our front steps didn’t turn out too well, but he was a trooper and I was was really thrilled with the results:

These are not edited other than cropped to remove houses in the background.  There are a few things I could do, but for the assignment, it was supposed to be SOOC.  There were a few others I liked, but these are my favorites.

I’m looking to expand my photography equipment in the near future, to include a new lens, flash, and fun bag to carry it around in (I’m crushing on this bag from Epiphanie – but not loving the price tag).

Isn’t my hubby a handsome guy!
