I’m failing

On both my daily readings and my 365 photos.  I’ve missed two days of pictures, because I just was too busy and forgot.  So, I guess I’ll “restart” that, and go through the end of January 2012.

At the end of last week, I spent the weekend with S before he flew out to Seattle to spend time with friends/colleagues at the American Meteorological Society conference.  How I wish I was there, but at least a friend from college, H, came to see me. She and I were roommates in college orientation, and the rest, they say, is history.  We’ve been through a lot together, and it’s nice to have someone to come home to other than the cats.

Last week, S and I went to a beer dinner (on the night that Boulder got dumped on with a freak 3.5″ of heavy snow).  It was quite the adventure, but we enjoyed each other’s company and met a nice couple who sat beside us.  It gave me the opportunity to knock another thing off my list: Eat at 10 new restaurants.  The last place was The West End Tavern, which you may have seen on an episode of Man vs. Food.  The food was good, the beer was good (I loved the Stout selection, but there were a ton of IPAs, not our beer choice!), but the company was the best.

This week, with H in town, we’re hitting up a museum tomorrow (Yes!  One for my list!!) and then off to a brewery.  I also have some exciting things coming up in the months of February and March, so I’m looking forward to those!

  1. I’m about 2 days behind on my daily reading, but luckily my reading plan allows for days off so I can catch up.

    Exciting things are . . . exciting!

  2. I’m off by a day in my daily reading, and am hoping to catch up tonight. And, I am really surprised that I’ve kept up with my Project 365 faithfully so far. Last year, I don’t think I lasted a week!

You do so many fun things! I wish I had more time to do stuff like that.

  3. Don’t get disappointed for missing a day of your 365 project. I did it last year and the only thing that saved me was being willing to admit I skipped a day and just use an image I took the day before or the day after to count for that day. I know it’s probably “cheating” but there’s no way I would have been able to make it though the year if I didn’t do that. Obviously, I didn’t do that every single day…but maybe a couple days a month. Make it work for you so you aren’t easily discouraged and can be successful!

  4. Don’t worry about the pictures. Some days mune are soooo lame because I take a random picture at the end of the day just to say I did. I’ve managed to stay on top of taking the pictures, but I’m only posting them about every 3-4 days or so because I get so busy. I agress with Katie, I don’t think it’s “cheating” if you use a different picture every once in a while. Hang in there!
